Gracious is a very sweet boy who is looking for a new family after his first family realized they weren't giving him the time and attention he deserves. In the time he has been back with us, he has shown himself to be very laid back and comfortable with the continuous comings and goings of people in an out of his part of the house. He flops down and takes everything in stride. Gracious is sweet and inquisitive, often coming right over for pets, cuddles, and attention. We love how friendly and mellow he is. We are continuing to assess and interact with him, mainly to see how he does with other bunnies to see if he would be happy as part of a bonded pair. Once we have that information established, we will make him officially available.
Update: Gracious has met three of our does (Will-o the Wisp, and retired, spayed does Sweet Tart and Plum Bun) through the exercise pen and his response was the same with all of them. He hopped over to sniff at them for a few minutes and then went back to what he was doing. There was no aggression, no extreme excitement, just more of a polite, 'Hello, I'm Gracious. What's your name? I'm very pleased to meet you. Well. it's been nice chatting, but I need to go back to nibbling hay now. TTFN!' This comes down to mean that we think he would be fine as a bonded Bun or as a single Bun. He's very mellow and will go with the flow. We just want to make certain he gets the love, time, and attention he so richly deserves.
Gracious will go to his new home with a packet of bunny care information, a birth certificate, a small bag of transition food and hay, a snack baggie of old-fashioned raw oats for treats, a toy, and a resting mat, along with any remaining supplies that were given by his first family.
